PLAISANCE ORPHANAGE BUILDING PROJECT
While we are so happy that we were able to bring these children to a Plaisance, we now have to create a more comfortable space for them to live. We currently have our 53 children, and our nannies staying at a small guest house that has 3 bedrooms and 2 very small bathrooms. It is very difficult to feed, and prepare all of the kids in the morning for school.
Ms. Lynn's parents own a piece of land nearby where we would like to build a new home for these children. Our goal is to be able to build a big enough space where they can continue to thrive. Please help us do this by praying for the Mission and by donating to our Plaisance Orphanage Building Project. As always, thank you for your generosity. With God and your support, we know that ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!

Plaisance orphanage building update!
plaisance school rebuild project
It has now been over a year since the catastrophic earthquake hit and impacted our community here in Plaisance du Sud, Haiti. While so much incredible work has been done to repair homes throughout our town, our school is still in need of help.
Ecole Leopold Luc Guillaume provides free education, from grades K-12 to over 320 students in the community. For most of these children, our program is their only means of ever attending school. Since the earthquake struck, the majority of our school has been operating in an unstable facility. The building has, unfortunately, been deemed a safety hazard and is unsafe for students and teachers.
With the grace of the Lord, we were able to finish off this academic school year without any major injuries or complications. However, we need this to change before the up and coming school year. While our makeshift buildings of wood and tarps provided a great emergency solution, it is not sustainable. The students had a difficult time concentrating in the sweltering heat, and when it rains instruction is impossible. We are praying, hoping, and believing for a miracle. Our goal is to have a brand new school building constructed to receive students when our next academic year begins in September.
The need is great and this is where you come in. We are estimating the total cost to be around $200,000. We know nothing is impossible for God, and we have seen Him do the impossible time and time again. we believe that together we can see this miracle take place.
The beauty of this project is that your giving will help to support countless families through employment as well as education, and that impact will trickle down for generations. We are asking for families and organizations to give a minimum donation of $5,000. With 40 donations of $5,000, our goal will be met. If you feel led or are capable of giving more, we will reach our goal even sooner. Our plan is to start rebuilding in May and we pray that with God's power and your support, we will see that hope become reality. Although this goal may seem far out of reach, we know that together we can make it happen, one classroom at a time.
