Grace Community Clinic |
The lack of first aid and hospital care were once very apparent in Carries. By building a properly resourced clinic, including two doctors, four trained nurses and a pharmacy, we have provided the community a clean and safe place to receive much needed medical care and education. Our clinic is open 5 days a week and offers free healthcare, treatment, and medication to all who come. In addition to treatment, we focus on educating the community in areas such as cleanliness, sanitation, and other preventable measures that can be taken in order to avoid future visits. This two-fold approach has helped in making great improvements to the overall health and well being of our entire community.
One additional service we provide is free sonograms to expectant mothers. On the 4th Wednesday of each month, we have a tech that comes and performs ultrasounds. This vital service is not something that many women in our region have had access to in the past and we are grateful to be able to provide that for them.
