As the challenges of gang violence, and unrest continue to plague Haiti, we had to send 53 of our youngest children from Carries up to our Plaisance Orphanage. Plaisance Du Sud is a gem tucked up in the mountains with lush fields full of vegetables and fruit year round. There's also a medical clinic and hospital that is available 24 hours a day. By the grace of God, we relocated the children to safety and since the move, we have seen them thrive and flourish. They are eating well and sleeping without nightmares. They have also started attending school. We are so grateful for everyone who has helped us make this transition possible. Mr. Elvis, Ms. Jill, Ms. Doodle, Keegan, and so many of our Haitian staff have truly been angels working tirelessly to prepare for all of these children. We appreciate all that you continue to do for Mission of Grace!
While we are so happy that we were able to bring these children to a Plaisance, we now have to create a more comfortable space for them to live. We currently have our 53 children, and our nannies staying at a small guest house that has 3 bedrooms and 2 very small bathrooms. It is very difficult to feed, and prepare all of the kids in the morning for school.

Plaisance orphanage Building update!
Our 150 children from Carries are adjusting very well to their new environment in Plaisance. Due to the continuous violence in Carries, we have decided to keep them in Plaisance long term.
In November, we began construction on the new orphanage that will house 100 children. Our goal is to raise $150,000 and thus far, we have been able to raise $80,000. We recently added the roof, doors, and windows to the building and are currently working on all of the electrical, plumbing, and flooring. Your help is greatly needed in order to move these children in as soon as possible due to the fact that there are still so many of them sleeping on the floor.
